Rugby round-up: Title victory for Hackney in London North West Three

Hackney Rugby Club have won the London North West Three title – despite having their home game with Staines bring ruled as a walkover.
The game was awarded to Hackney earlier this morning, making it 20 straight wins.
It meant that their only rivals, Hemel Hempstead, had to pick up a victory over Stevenage Town.
However, the Hertfordshire side picked up a 24-18 victory to secure the croen for the Marshes-based side.
They took to Twitter to confirm the news, saying: “1st team are league champions! Griffins confirmed to finish top of the table after other result today.”
Elsewhere in the division Kilburn Cosmos came from behind to defeat Cheshunt 29-17 and climb to fifth.
They moved ahead of Datchworth who slumped to a 26-13 defeat at home to Finchley.
The victory came with a four-try bonus point, which could yet prove vital as Finchley stayed four points clear of Old Merchant Taylors’ who also won.
In the division above, Hampstead picked up a 42-18 win over Hammersmith & Fulham but remain third after both Old Haberdashers and HAC got narrow successes, 29-22 against Belsize Park and 20-18 against Harrow respectively.
Old Steetonians stayed top of Herts Middlesex One with a convincing 60-17 win over UCSOB.
That defeat dropped UCS to the foot of the table and the one relegation spot after Wasps FC got a losing bonus point at Barnet Elizabethans.
Hendon fell to a 29-7 loss to Royston.
And in Herts Middlesex Two there was a 47-29 defeat for Haringey Rhinos at home to Watford.
