Anthony Small stopped Dewsbury's Steve Conway at the ExCeL Arena in Docklands in a Sports Network Promotion

ANTHONY Small, the Deptford fighter who trains under Dave Pereira at the Real Fight Club in Curtain Road, Shoreditch, stopped Dewsbury's Steve Conway at the ExCel Arena in Docklands in a Sports Network Promotion last Saturday.

Small dropped his opponent to the canvas twice in the opening round, the first from a left hook to the body, the second a right hook to the head, and started where he left off in round two, flooring Conway for a third time after cornering him on the ropes, at which point the referee stopped the bout. Small's record now stands at 21 wins and one defeat.

Also on the bill was former Repton ABC boxer and 2000 Olympic superheavyweight gold medallist Audley Harrison, who was pointed by Belfast's Martin Rogan by 96 points to 95.

Top-of-the-bill Amir Khan got back to winning ways after his first professional defeat when he knocked out Dublin's Oisin Fagan in the second round of their contest.
