Victoria Park is celebrating 15 years of Love this summer.
Lovebox is returning for its 15th anniversary (12th in Vicky Park) on July 14 and 15 – and organisers reckon they have bagged their best line-up so far.
The landmark occasion called for two big headliners, and they delivered with Frank Ocean on the Friday and Chase and Status on the Saturday.
After his “disappearance” following Channel Orange, Ocean’s 2012 debut album, organisers were delighted to have secured the enigmatic star. His second album, Blond, was finally released in 2016 and was one of the most acclaimed of 2016.
Other acts on the Friday include Jamie xx, Mac Miller, Solange and Kaytranada.
Saturday sees the return of “Lovebox favourite” Chase and Status. With their new album due out this year, organisers have promised new material in their “ferocious” live set.
Also on the Saturday bill are Jess Glynne, Andy C, Annie Mac and Kurupt FM – but these are just the tip of the iceberg. Over 50 further artists have been announced, with more to follow.
And aside from the music, Lovebox will also host its trademark assortment of eclectic experiences, including street food stalls, fashion and beauty boutiques and even walkabouts.
