Iconic dance music DJs, Alan Braxe and Robert Owens, are set to play at the Queen of Hoxton’s fourth birthday celebrations in Shoreditch next Saturday.

A heady mix of house, disco and electro will take dancers into the early hours at the trendy club in Curtain Road, which will be decked out with special lighting and visuals, a confetti cannon, a cluster of mirror balls and a giant birthday cake.

Producer, songwriter, DJ and vocalist Robert Owens now lives in Dalston but grew up in Ohio where would sing in church as a boy before becoming well known for his work with the group Fingers Inc during the late-’80s golden era of Chicago house.

Meanwhile French electronic music artist Alan Braxe is one of the producers behind the international smash hit ‘Music Sounds Better With You’, which paved the way for him being highly in demand as a remixer for the likes of Björk, Beyoncé and Kylie Minogue.

Rounding off the line up, Leeds and London based duo, Voyeur received a lot of Radio 1 airplay last year with their remix for Bombay Bicycle Club.
