An unmasked gunman holding up a sleepy post office is the setting for the unusually titled comedy “Smells of Wee.”
Anna Fiorentini takes a break from running her Hackney-based drama school to shine in the latest production by the Tower Theatre Company.
The queue of ordinary people in the post office start to feel safe once they realize the gunman doesn’t want money and he wouldn’t hurt a fly.
But bonded by false teeth, divided by a dangerous banana, united over rubber bands and comforted by their collective loneliness, they start to wonder, “Why do post offices always smell of wee?”
The play runs from until Sunday March 6 at the Rosemary Branch Theatre in Shepperton Road, Hoxton.
Performances are at 7.30pm every day apart from 3pm on Sunday, advance tickets cost �10 for members and �12 standard, �12 for members, �14 standard on the door.
