Some London restaurants have been busy celebrating all night after winning big at the AA Rosette Awards.

The awards ceremony was held at RAK Ceramics Design Hub in London and aims to celebrate an exceptional level of culinary excellence.

The AA Rosette Awards have become the mark of leading restaurants and hotels since its beginnings in 1956, nearly 70 years on the Rosettes are still highly esteemed.

Discussing the awards, Simon Numphud FIH, Managing Director at AA Media said: “We are delighted to celebrate and recognise the latest collection of outstanding restaurants.

"All deliver excellent culinary experiences where provenance, seasonality, flavour and great cooking take centre stage. Here’s to the remarkable chefs and front-of-house teams whose dedication has brought these accolades to life.”

Along with winning AA Rosettes, each winner receives a signature RAK porcelain AA plate, as is tradition for the awards.

London winners at the 2024 AA Rosette Awards

La Dame de Pic London was the only restaurant to achieve the prestigious award of four AA Rosettes.

The restaurant was described by an AA Inspector as offering "The height of luxury, a splendid setting, and one of London’s best French restaurants."

Menu's change every season with offerings of two tasting options, a "six-course Découverte and eight-course Voyage".

Some of the food highlighted by inspectors include "first-class Orkney scallops hand dived and cured with nori and kombu, while a perfect tranche of Cornish pollock is served with grilled leeks."

On the review site TripAdvisor, La Dame de Pic London has a high rating of 4.5/5, with one guest sharing: "We ate at la Dame de pic for a birthday celebration. The food was really special- beautifully served and delicious. The service was warm and welcoming. We really loved it- definitely to be recommended."

The London restaurants that claimed the three AA Rosettes were: 

  • Social Eating House
  • Pavyllon London
  • Claridge's Restaurant
  • The Silver Birch
  • Studio Frantzén

Social Eating House is described as a "classy Soho bistro" with a "laid back, buzzy atmosphere and stellar cooking.”

The Michelin-rated restaurant was praised for its service: " Service is friendly and efficient, and a seasonal menu offers spot-on modern British bistro cooking, with the set lunch offering great value for the Soho location."

Also among three AA Rosettes was Studio Frantzén an " ultra-slick, contemporary venue right up at the top of Harrods."

Food options at Studio Frantzén include "steaks and grills and an excellent wine list, all in a very stylish setting, stripped back and minimalist with a modern Scandinavian feel."
