A teenage boy has been "grabbed" in attack by a group of people armed with weapons near a Shacklewell school.
A dad and his son, 14, were reportedly targeted in Downs Park Road, near to The Excelsior Academy, on December 11 at 3.45pm.
The Metropolitan Police says that a group of males, some armed with weapons, attacked a man before leaving the area in their cars.
It is understood that at least one of these weapons may have involved a knife, bats and there are claims of a gun used to threaten the man.
A spokesperson said the dad suffered minor injuries that were non-life threatening and non-life changing.
He spent at least over a day in hospital.
The boy was not injured.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and no arrests have been made.
The Excelsior Academy has not responded to the Hackney Gazette.
